2022 Yale Postgraduate Symposium
Are you planning to enhance your career goals in PhD, MD, MD/PhD, or industry?
The YPGA research symposium is dedicated to preparing and motivating postgrads for the next steps of their careers. We strive to create an atmosphere of inclusivity and collaboration to unite our community across different research fields and encourage postgrads to expand their network and enhance their knowledge.
Join us at the heart of campus in Yale’s largest library to foster your own growth and connect with other Postgrads, RA’s, Yale faculty and everyone else. Engage and learn from a variety of divergent presentations all while socializing over coffee breaks and contributing to meaningful discussion.

Abstract Guidelines
The abstract submission window has now closed. Please contact parinaz.dastoor@yale.edu and puneet.uppal@yale.edu with further questions.
Please follow these guidelines to ensure that your abstract is accepted and correctly evaluated.
-
Abstracts must be written for a general/broad/lay/multidisciplinary audience. Do not use jargon, abbreviations, symbols or non-english letters (ß, æ, é, etc.). Abstracts that have been submitted for presentations elsewhere are welcomed but must be updated accordingly to these requirements.
-
Please focus on the big-picture importance of your research. Clarity is an important criterion for the overall evaluation of the abstract.
-
Abstract main text is limited to 300 words. Title length is limited to 40 words and acknowledgements to 80 words.
-
Your abstract should be structured as follows: Introduction, Methods, Results (if applicable), Conclusion and General Impact.
-
Acknowledgements should list the sources of support of your research
-
Each abstract will be blindly evaluated by several members of the organizing committee according to the scoring rubric that can be found here.
-
To promote the diversity of presentations, each person will only be allowed one type of presentation (either 10 min talk, flash talk or poster).
-
More details about each presentation format will be provided.
-
Please mention if you want your abstract to be considered for a talk (10 min or 5 min) or/and a poster.
Your abstract and title will be added to the Program booklet, which will be made available to the public. If you do not want your abstract to be included in the symposium booklet, please contact us.
