Community Service

The Community Service Committee is no longer an active committee within the YPGA. As an organization, we still value the importance of fostering connections and giving back to our community. Therefore, community service will be an integral component that is emphasized within each of our other committees. If you are passionate about finding opportunities for postgrads to give back to the local community, please reach out to the YPGA Presidents, and they will be more than happy to discuss ways to re-introduce and revamp the Community Service Committee.

Mission & Vision:

The Community Service Committee is deeply committed to fostering connections and making meaningful, lasting, and positive contributions to our local community. Our aim is to create opportunities for postgraduates to volunteer their time and support fundraising efforts, fostering connections, and building a stronger community spirit. With a steadfast dedication to proactive advocacy and swift problem-solving, we address not only local issues but also broader challenges. Our mission is strengthened by active engagement with the dynamic postgraduate community, organizing activities and launching initiatives contributing to the postgraduate and broader New Haven community.
